I bring a unique perspective to my role as Financial Concierge. After many years in a variety of healthcare roles, I moved into the world of insurance and later into financial services where I have focused on providing clarity, insight and mentoring to improve my clients’ financial health.
In addition to my degree in nursing, I have secured my Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation, Chartered Financial Divorce Specialist (CFDS) designation, Chartered Investment Manager (CIM) designation and most recently my Certified Executor Advisor (CEA) designation. I am member of Advocis (The Financial Advisors Association of Canada) and am licensed through the Financial Planners Standards Council. I thoroughly enjoy opportunities to increase financial literacy at all life stages and ages.
After enjoying the challenges of a 25 year accounting career in the oil and gas industry, I embarked on a new chapter focusing on my passion to help others.
I’ve worked with seniors, people with disabilities and “the sandwich generation” (a generation responsible for bringing up their own children while caring for their aging parents) to handle their financial and administrative tasks. I get great fulfillment in taking the stress off of people’s shoulders by assisting them to get their affairs in order, so they can enjoy the “sweet things in life”.
I take pride in building relationships based on trust and honesty.
Following a lengthy career in corporate finance I am now returning to my hobby of personal money management. In addition to having spent most of my working career as the Controller of an international company, I have also worked as a tax preparer, in various Municipal Government roles and as a contractor in other accounting-related assignments. I have recently obtained the Registered Retirement Consultant (RRC) and Certified Executor Advisor (CEA) designations and I am ready to work with my senior clients to bring peace of mind to their retirement money and estate matters.
