The AADMM leadership is a team of dedicated professionals each directly involved in the growth, services, education and adherence to the ethical standards for DMMs, their clients and the profession.
Susie Marbury, CDMM, the founder and owner of Checks & Balances for You, has had a varied career. In addition to working for over 30 years as a computer professional, she has also owned her own businesses and kept the books for her companies, as well as for others. In 2013 Susie reinvented herself once again and started her daily money management business. Susie was certified as a CDMM (formerly known as PDMM) in August 2017. A member of AADMM since 2013, she leads the association’s virtual group as part of her commitment to excellence.
Alison Salisbury, Founder of Fiscally Fit, Inc., in Los Altos, CA provides Daily Money Management services for seniors, busy individuals and high net worth families. She and her team specialize in family finances and administration, household payroll, organizing tax paperwork, as well as setting up accounts and filing systems. Alison joined AADMM in 2008, earned her certification as a CDMM (PDMM) in 2011, and currently serves on the Executive Committee on the AADMM Board of Directors.
Jennifer Shulman, founder of Simply Balanced Solutions, LLC, in St. Petersburg, Florida provides Daily Money Management services for seniors, busy professionals, and high net worth individuals. Jennifer joined AADMM in 2013 following the creation of Simply Balanced Solutions and in 2016 she received her certification as a CDMM®. She has been active in AADMM including the Professional Development Committee, the Florida Regional Group, and the Public Awareness Committee. Jennifer also enjoys volunteering and serving several community organizations focusing on food insecurities and financial literacy. Her volunteer work includes hands on teaching, counseling, and organizing as well a committee and serving at the Board of Directors level.
Linda L. Smit, CDMM is co-founder of Estate & Senior Support Services LLC. She and her nine-member team serve senior citizens and small businesses as well as provide estate administration support services to professionals in the metropolitan Baltimore, Maryland area.
Linda holds a B.A. degree in Finance and Accounting from the College of Notre Dame of Maryland (now Notre Dame of Maryland University) and graduated as a member of the Delta Mu Delta business administration honor society. She also received a Certificate in Paralegal Studies from the University of Maryland, Baltimore and has taken courses in fiduciary income tax at Villa Julie College (now Stevenson University).
Linda became a Certified Daily Money Manager (CDMM) in 2013 and is immediate past regional leader of the DC/MD Suburban regional group.
Her many years of experience as a paralegal, concentrating in estate administration, are particularly helpful to her clients and their families when faced with life changes, whether through the death of a loved one or through physical ailments due to the aging process.
Sharon Zissman has been a DMM and the client service manager for Everyday Money Management, located in Rockville, Maryland, since 2015. She is an attorney who worked as counsel for 12 years at the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation and as a principal at JMZ Financial, a consulting firm that offered CFO services to small and medium sized companies. She is a certified daily money manager and has served on the Public Relations Committee, the Board Assessment Task Force and now serves on the Governance Committee and is the coordinator for the Maryland/DC AADMM regional group. She has served on the Boards of several community organizations and has taught financial literacy to women and girls.
Lauri Walsh is the founder of Meadowlark Financial Care, LLC. Serving the central Ohio region since 2013, Meadowlark Financial Care, LLC primarily works with older adults and individuals undergoing significant life events. Lauri serves AADMM as the best practices team lead and is an active member of the membership committee and the background check task force.
Prior to starting Meadowlark Financial Care, LLC, Lauri worked in both academic and corporate environments in the areas of change management, finance, process improvement, project management, customer service, and training and performance management. With her diverse experience, she has demonstrated a commitment to excellence and brings passion to helping others.
Lauri obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree in business management at Adrian College and earned her MBA, with an emphasis in organizational leadership, at Franklin University. In her free time, she enjoys cycling, hiking, and spending time with her family.
Clare is a Financial Literacy Instructor, Social Scientist and Money Behaviorist conducting independent research in small business, entrepreneurship, behavioral psychology, and social sciences. Her research focuses on attitudes toward money and practices around money decisions and money behaviors through Financial Therapy.
Amy E Carrick is founder and owner of Carrick Consulting, LLC. She holds a BS in Computer Science with a minor in Economics as well as an MBA in Marketing and Finance. She has been a member since 2011and is the first and only Certified Daily Money Manager in South Carolina. In addition to AADMM, Amy maintains membership in the Upstate Senior Network, leads small networking groups and is trained as a Senior Advisor and Dementia Specialist.
Amy focuses her practice on helping the underdog whether it be privately contracted or as a fiduciary through the courts. She speaks at an average of five events each year and her goal is to share information to keep people financially safe and prepared for whatever their future might hold.
Terri is the founder and owner of Terri K. Echarte Consulting, LLC and has more than 30 years of experience in business, real estate finance, banking and client relations. She has held SVP and managing director positions at Bank of America and HFF (now JLL) in commercial real estate lending and investment banking, arranging debt on behalf of private, corporate, and institutional owners and sponsors of large commercial real estate projects. Terri was also a SVP and private banker, serving high net worth clients, individuals, and families, and has experience managing complex financial relationships in her role as a fiduciary. She has extensive experience working in a regulated environment and dealing with compliance activities.
Giving back to the community is an important initiative for Terri. She is a co-founder of 100+ Women Who Care – Miami Beach Chapter and a former co-founder of 100+ Women Who Care Miami Chapter. These giving circles raise money to bestow grants to local non-profits providing much needed programs and services throughout Miami Dade County.
Jeremy is the founder of Assurance Family Partners, a company whose mission is to assist and empower individuals and families by helping them manage their personal day-to-day finances.
An accountant with extensive public and corporate experience, Jeremy is in the unique position to help families because he has been there himself: understanding his grandmother’s wish to age at home in comfort, and her concern that she needed help doing so, he assisted with her personal finances during her later years. What began as an extra set of eyes on her monthly bills, writing out checks, and weekly trips to the bank and post office, turned into full-time management of her personal finances. As a result, she was able to age in place, while confident that her financial house remained in order.
