History of AADMM

AADMM provides professional development and educational opportunities to the organization members.

AADMM is a national membership organization representing individuals and businesses in the growing profession of daily money management. Established in 1998, AADMM was incorporated as a non-profit organization to provide professional development and educational opportunities to the organization members.

Over the years, membership has grown to approximately 800 professionals across the U.S. and Canada. The vast majority of AADMM members are employed as Daily Money Managers (DMMs) who provide personal financial services to seniors and older adults, people with disabilities, busy professionals, high net worth individuals, small business owners and others.

AADMM provides professional development and educational opportunities through its annual conference, professional accreditation, webinars and workshops.

In 2007, AADMM began a certification program for Professional Daily Money Manners®, PDMM®. The voluntary certification program emphasizes both experience in the field and continuing education. Those who meet the requirements and pass the exam earn the designation of Professional Daily Money Manager® (PDMM).

In 2018 the organization started requiring background checks for members providing daily money management services. AADMM requires all members pass a background check before becoming a member or renewing membership. The AADMM Board believes that this is a critical element in the development of daily money management as a profession as it enhances our credibility.

In 2019, the certification of PDMM changed to Certified Daily Money Manager®, CDMM.

Members also have access to specialized liability insurance, book discounts for professional resources, industry news updates and various networking opportunities.
